Severe Product Leakage Resolved
Between Silo, Sifter and Conveyor
Facing a significant hurdle in their soybean powder production line, a prominent agricultural and food production company in China encountered issues with clamped connectors connecting a powder silo, sifters, and screw conveyor. These connectors were unable to effectively contain the product, raising concerns about leakage and the potential risks to the health and safety of their staff.
The clamped connectors were leaking product so severely that it spread throughout the production area, creating a dust-filled environment that was unsafe for staff to enter without a mask.
However, after the installation of BFM® fittings, the entire area is now noticeably cleaner. With no more product leakage from the flexible connections, there is no loss of product and staff no longer waste time cleaning up spilled powder.
